  1. What are the dates for GAAVANI?

  4. Which airport can I fly into?

    You can fly into Newark, NJ (EWR) or La Guardia, NY (LGA)

  5. Which hotel can we stay at?

    We have a block of rooms (2 queen beds) at a discounted group rate at Comfort Inn Paramus - you can book online using this HOTEL BOOKING LINK. The group name is GAAVANI and the group rate is $119 plus 15% tax per night. This rate is available until September 20. Breakfast and wifi are included :)

  6. Can I sing Kirtan at GAAVANI?

    We encourage participation in GAAVANI when it is held in your state/province and you are recommended by your kirtan teacher.

  7. What is the GAAVANI format?

    As per the GAAVANI format, first preference is given to the local kirtanye for the shorter slots and the longer slots on the schedule are reserved for the lead kirtanye.

  8. Is there an age requirement?

    The age requirement is high school and above unless you are participating in one of the youth group jatha’s.  Each participant must be approved by the GAAVANI team or the lead kirtanya for participation in their own jatha.
